Immortalite Bayissi LP

Here's a copy of Gabonese Kaflor Kassa's one & only record. Immortalite Bayissi was pressed in 1987 on what appears to be his personal record label. I didn't think I knew a lot of Gabonese records, but when I started poking around on Discogs, there are more than a few nice ones.

This is really something on an anomaly though. What language are they singing? Maybe its a language I just read about on Wikipedia called Fang? Its certainly not French. A lot of Immortalite Bayissi is more a "traditional" '80s soukous sound, but the song "Vinda" is singularly insane. It probably would fall under "reggae" if I had to classify it. But Gabon is a long way from Jamaica. Does it have a soukous bass? Is that it? The synth used sounds sick or on the verge of collapse. The song is soulful and warm and I really can't think of anything like it.

The the vinyl borders VG and VG+ and that is much more than I would say about the sleeve. Please have a careful look at the images provided. There is writing, some tearing, and some imprints from a pen. I would grade the sleeve as G+. Images and audio clips are from the copy for sale.
