I Love The Way You Talk 12"

Lisa Fabian

Karma Records, UK 1990

More insanity pushed forth by the good folk at Karma Records. Again, like the Colour Sound 12" I wish I knew more of the backstory. This record is clearly related to the Jamati 12", but offers a supreme production (especially the B2 Untitled Track). There is just so much madness in this number, including a Talking Heads sample. All of it mad.

Google brings us a total of three results, two being Discogs and one being a pdf from Billboard's April 1988 edition. Billboard (on page 23 of 96) features an article titled "Competition Ups Rap Creativity On New Releases" where columnist Bill Coleman mentions Lisa had worked with Rick Astley. There may be some confusion there, whether Lisa FabiEn and Lisa FabiAn are the same Lisa. Regardless this 12" is next to invisible, and just as crazy.

The vinyl is VG+ and sleeve is Generic. All images and clips are taken directly from the records listed for sale.
